These terms apply to the use of this website and to support requests made through it. The specific scope, timing and price of a service are confirmed directly with the client before work begins.
Website information
The website provides general information about Cape Town HomeTech services, estimated call-out fees and service areas. Information is provided in good faith but may be updated as services, travel costs or availability change.
Estimates and pricing
Website prices and calculator results are estimates unless expressly confirmed in writing. The final charge may change if the location, scope of work, required parts or time involved differs from the information initially provided. Any material change will be discussed with the client.
Bookings and access
Submitting a form does not create a confirmed appointment. A visit is confirmed only after Cape Town HomeTech has contacted the client and agreed on the date, time, location and service required. The client must provide safe and reasonable access to the equipment and premises.
Client responsibilities
- Provide accurate information about the problem and equipment.
- Keep passwords private unless access is genuinely required and agreed during support.
- Maintain a current backup of important files where reasonably possible.
- Confirm that the client is authorised to request work on the device, account or network.
Data and backups
Computer repair and troubleshooting can involve an unavoidable risk of data loss, particularly where storage devices are damaged, infected or failing. Cape Town HomeTech will take reasonable care, but clients remain responsible for maintaining backups unless a separate backup or recovery service has been agreed.
Parts, software and third-party services
Parts, licences, subscriptions and third-party services may be subject to their own supplier warranties and terms. Cape Town HomeTech is not responsible for outages, policy changes or failures controlled by third-party providers.
Limit of responsibility
Cape Town HomeTech will exercise reasonable skill and care. To the extent permitted by law, responsibility is limited to direct loss arising from the service provided and does not extend to indirect loss, lost profits, loss caused by pre-existing faults or events outside reasonable control.
Intellectual property
The Cape Town HomeTech name, logo, website design, text and original website materials may not be copied or republished without permission.
South African law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Nothing in these terms removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer-protection law.
